Improved PSO-based Parameters Optimization of ESS’s Active and Reactive Controllers

Aiming at the problem that the parameters of active power and reactive power multi-controller in energy storage system are easy to influence each other, an improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the PI parameters of active power and reactive power (PQ) multi-controller. IPSO algorithm adopts global domain search, chaos interference and global optimal particle learning mechanism to enhance the ability of finding global optimal value and jump out of local optimal solution. Based on the IPSO algorithm, the PI controller parameters of PQ control are optimized by taking the ITAE index of the two controllers as the objective function. Taking the energy storage system connected to the infinite system as an example, the effectiveness of the method is verified by simulation. Compared with other optimization algorithms, the conclusion that IPSO has better optimization ability is drawn.
