NMR techniques applied to micellar systems
1997
Multinuclear high resolution 1D and 2D NMR is widely used to study surfactant aggregates in solution. Water structure at the micellar surface, counterion competition, orientation and penetration, surfactant-surfactant and surfactant-solute interactions, surfactant conformational changes on micellisation, peptide conformation on the surface of micelles, polynucleotide interactions and ion channelling in vesicles have all been investigated recently.
