The invention relates to a toothed roll type cleaning method and device for shells and seeds of camellia oleifera. The method and the device utilize the interaction of footed rolls to separate the shells of camellia oleifera from the seeds of camellia oleifera. Shell and seed mixtures of camellia oleifera enter into a cleaning separation device from a feed opening in a housing and fall on the upper parts of the toothed rolls; under the rotation of a sweeping screw machine, materials are uniformly spread in the cleaning separation device, and meanwhile the materials are constantly pushed; the seeds of camellia oleifera are separated from the shell and seed mixtures of camellia oleifera under the action of the toothed rolls and enter a shell outlet; the residual seeds of camellia oleifera enter a seed outlet under the action of the sweeping screw machine, and therefore the purpose of the separation of shells and seeds is achieved. According to the method and the device, after the shell and seed mixtures are swept by the sweeping screw machine to be uniformly spread, the seeds of camellia oleifera in the mixtures are grabbed and dragged down and finally leave the inner part of the cleaning device and enter the shell outlet, but the seeds cannot be grabbed due to the larger size and finally enter the seed outlet under the pushing action of the sweeping screw machine. The structure is very conducive to the separation of shells and seeds of the shell and seed mixtures of camellia oleifera with different water contents.
