Lazos entre lingüística e ideología desde un enfoque historiográfico (ss. XVI-XX)

2020
This volume gathers 17 papers in which the explicit and/or implicit manifestation of ideologies in metalinguistic texts is studied from a historiographical approach. Taking as common axis the relationships between Linguistics and ideology and their projection into the social, political or pedagogical domains, these contributions analyse the content of grammatical, lexicographical and orthographical works, histories of languages, newspaper articles, discourses, manifests and other writings published between the 16th and the 20th centuries. Although the bulk of the papers focuses on texts about Spanish in both the European and the American varieties, this volume also contains contributions on ancient languages, such as Latin or Mozarabic; other contemporary Iberian languages, as is the case for Basque, Catalan and their dialectal varieties; the ideological component of pedagogical texts in which the teaching of Spanish is influenced by the learner’s language, among which English, Moroccan Arabic or Japanese; and even the complex universe of artificial languages.
