Hybrid Dual-Primal FETI-Schur Complement Method for Stokes

2014
We consider the solution of the linear system arising from the discretization of the Stokes system by finite element methods with continuous pressure spaces. For a system of large size, it is convenient to use iterative methods to save memory space. FETI and BDD belong to this class of methods and have proved efficiency for a large type of problems. When the approximate velocity and pressure are both continuous, the interface systems of FETI and BDD become mixed problems and ill-conditioned. We combine FETI and BDD in such a way that the interface unknowns are physically homogeneous in order to recover efficiency.
