CORROSION FATIGUE CRACK INITIATION AND PROPAGATION BEHAVIOR OF 12 Cr STAINLESS STEEL

ABSTRACT This paper describes the microscopic features of the corrosion fatigue process, specifically the initiation and growth of corrosion pits in corrosion fatigue crack initiation process of 12 Cr stainless steel. Quantitative analyzed examples of the size of corrosion pit by use of recently developed image analyzing technology are also described.
