Light-meson decay constants using an improved fermionic action

Abstract We present results for the light meson decay constants in quenched QCD using the standard gluon action and a tadpole-improved SW fermionic action. O(a) tree-level improvement of on-shell matrix elements requires the quark fields ψ and ψ to be transformed (“rotated”) using either a lattice covariant derivative or a lattice quark mass. We compare rotated and unrotated matrix elements to investigate various prescriptions for the lattice quark mass.
