The invention belongs to the field of preparation for aluminium and aluminium alloy strips, and specifically relates to a high-strength aluminium alloy strip for anodic oxidation, and a preparation method thereof. The aluminium alloy strip comprises the following ingredients: not greater than 0.08 wt% of Si, not greater than 0.15 wt% of Fe, 0.05-0.20 wt% of Cu, not greater than 0.05 wt% of Mn, 2.0-3.5 wt% of Mg, not greater than 0.25 wt% of Cr, not greater than 0.05 wt% of Ti, and the balance Al, wherein Fe/Si is equal to 1 to 3. The aluminium alloy plate-strip for an anode, which has a yield strength of greater than 230MPa and a high brightness after anodic oxidation, is prepared through a cold-rolling processing technique after proportioning, and is suitable for the outer parts of electronic and electrical appliances and other products, for example, the shells of mobile phones and computers, and the like; and the application of the aluminium alloy strip in the field of electronic devices is expanded.
