Automated, Biomechatronic System to Study Single Cell Aging

Automation is essential for the high-throughput capture and analysis of single cells. To study multiple aging cells in parallel, the cell must be automatically trapped with micro-technologies and held while it divides over its lifetime. In this paper, progress toward a system that will automate single-cell yeast pedigree analysis is presented
