Pathology of Pituitary Adenomas and Pituitary Hyperplasia
2001
Of the diverse neoplasms affecting the sellar region, pituitary adenomas are by far the most common. Their pathologic features are the substance of the present chapter, which is limited to a discussion of benign tumors. The same is true of invasive adenomas and pituitary carcinoma. Discussions of their epidemiology, molecular genetics, endocrine, radiologic, as well as therapeutic aspects are the subjects of separate chapters.
