Numerical Simulation on Film-Cooling Efficiency of Injection Angles

The technology of film cooling is one of the most effective means of protecting the turbine blades, estimating the effect of film cooling accurately plays an important role in the design of turbine blades. Numerical studies about the effect of injection angles on film cooling efficiency have been carried out by scholars, but there are usually few injection angles. In this paper, k -e two-equation turbulence model of the genuine Fluent software was performed to run the numerical simulation for film cooling flow field and temperature field with the injection angles changing from 10 ° to 90 °(interval was 5°) , we studied the flow structure, cooling efficiency and wall Nusselt number (Nu) distribution with variation of injection angles, and investigated the best injection angle when the blowing ratio M=1.0.
