Apparatus and method for touch interfacing by using z value

PURPOSE: An apparatus for a touch interface by using a z-value and a method thereof are provided to configure a convenient UI(User Interface) by performing additional input such as a mouse click based on the variation of the Z-value. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel(112) receives a touch of an object through a capacitive method. A touch engine(114) calculates a z-value by receiving the touch information of an inputted object. A controller(120) establishes the z-value as a control command and transfers the z-value to an application in operation. If the z-value is larger than a click level value, the controller establishes the z-value as 1. If the z-value is smaller than the click level value, the controller establishes the z-value as 0.
