Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate level of markers of oxidative modification of proteins and glutathione system in erythrocytes at different stages of lung cancer. 116 patients with lung carcinoma were chosen for study. We measured proteins carbonyl derivatives, SH-groups of proteins, glutathione level, glutathione peroxidase and gluthatione-s-transferase activity. The most increase of oxidative modification of proteins is happened on II and IV stage of the desease, however changes in glutathione system are similar at stages I-III, at IV stage glutathione level, glutathione peroxidase and gluthatione-s-transferase activity are decreased.
