D(e,e’p) longitudinal‐transverse separation

A Rosenbluth separation of the longitudinal and transverse structure functions in the D(e,e’p) reaction has been performed in parallel kinematics at ‖q↘‖=400 MeV/c and initial proton momentum centered at 50 MeV/c. The data are compared to a nonrelativistic calculation which includes effects due to final state interactions, meson exchange currents, and isobar configurations. The data are also compared to the results of two previous structure function separations.
