Irradition initiating process for preparing cationic starch

2006
The present invention particularly relates to a process for the preparation of radiation-induced cationic starch. A method for the preparation of radiation-induced cationic starch, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: 1) addition of a cationic starch original etherifying agent, cationic etherifying agent added in an amount of 1% to 100% of the original mass of starch, sufficiently stirred uniformly to obtain a mixture; said cationic etherifying agent is epoxypropyl bromide or glycidyl trimethyl ammonium chloride; 2) place mixture on 60 Co irradiation field irradiated, under aerobic conditions, the reaction is initiated, so that the irradiation dose 3KGy ~ 15KGy, to obtain a blend; 3) obtained after irradiation of the blend treatment process: blending It was placed in an oven at 130 ~ 150 ℃ or 180 ~ 200 ℃ of drying, mixing, and finally pulverized and sieved through 100 mesh sieve, i.e., a cationic starch. The method no environmental pollution, the production process is simple, and low cost.
