Propagação e conservação ex situ de variedades de milho crioulo sob sistema agroecológico

2018
Maize production is an integral and fundamental part of family farming, and the farmer hasacquired transgenic seeds subject to the dependence of associated acquisition of inputs, soilcontamination and loss of biodiversity. In this sense, the objective of this work was to propagate, characterize and evaluate the conserved ex situ diversity of 15 peasants maize. Varietieswere propagated: Cateto, Burdock, Fortuna, Caiano, Aztequinha, Red, Purple, Cunha, Maizena,Common Purple, Amarelao, Preto, White Pearl, Nutritional and Yellow. In the cultivation ofthese varieties agroecological practices and increasing doses of biofertilizer (03%, 05% and10%) were used throughout the development stages. The Yellow variety presented the best results, with 100% germination, higher height and number of leaves, standing out from the othervarieties. In this context, it is concluded that it is possible to cultivate and conserve varieties ofpeasants maize seeds in the Sertao Productive Territory
