Analysis of Quality Characters of Hybrid Rice Grain Derived from Different Ecological Types in Japonica Rice

Total 59 Japonic rice lines from 9 ecotypes were used as materials in this study,and main quality characters of F1 hybrids of 303 combinations created in a diallel set of cross were analysed.Statistical analysis showed that F1 hybrids of cross combinations,using North China,Japanese or Korean as parent,produced higher head rice rates than other ecotypes,and had higher percentage of combinations with high head rice rate,compared with the other ecotypes.Cross combination patterns of high head rice rate are Northwestern×Japanese,North China×Taiwan,Northeastern ×Korean and North China ×Korean,respectively.The results benefit cross-combining and parent-selecting in high head rice rate breeding.
