The present invention provides a time-resolved single photon or ultra-weak light spectrum system and method for multi-dimensional imaging, on the one hand in order to achieve coarse time resolution of the present invention provides a single photon counting time-resolved two-dimensional imaging system for color or gray imaged image; in addition, in order to achieve high-precision multi-dimensional time-resolved imaging system of the present invention provides the primary control unit by the light source, the imaging spectrum measurement unit, an electrical detection means, systems, algorithms units, wherein the object information carrying light imaging in the spatial light modulator, according to the theory of its random modulation compressed sensing, and using point and single-photon detector array to collect light emitted grating, while recording the time of arrival of photons and the number of photons, the use of compressed sensing algorithms and imaging spectra correlation algorithm reconstruction, with single-photon detection sensitivity, high time resolution, wide spectral range, can be widely used single-cell organisms many new physics, material defects detected high-tech industries.
