Effect of low temperature on overwintering and pupation of Clanis bilineata.

The experiment was studied on preservation duration of Clanis bilineata larvae at 0～ 4℃,and low temperature treatment at different time and Gradient cooling to the larvae of Clanis bilineata.The results showed that the death rate was low within 60 days,and was 31.67% after 80 days,and went up to 33% after 100 days.Mortality rate increased significantly after 20 days at low temperature conditions and the Clanis bilineata larvae pupate ahead of schedule.The Clanis bilineata larvae which was gradient warming after gradient cooling,not only pupate ahead of schedule,but also have lower death rate.
