Investigation and Analysis on Therapeutic Compliance among Psychotics with Modified Electroconvulsive Therapy

Objective To improve the compliance of psychotic patients with modified electroconvulsive therapy(MECT),enhance the curative effect and promote rehabilitation of psychotics.Method Compliance with MECT wad assessed in 84 cases of psychotics.Results Compliance of psychotic patients with MECT was significantly correlated with insight,patient-nruse relationship,cognitive level on MECT and side effects of MECT(P0.01).Conclusions Strengthening education about mental health and special focus on MECT treatment,improving patient-nursing relationship and providing appropriate nursing before treatment were the key to increase compliance of psychotics with MECT.
