Integral type double-shoulder sulfur resistant drill rod

2010
An integral type double-shoulder sulfur resistant drill rod is applied in petroleum drilling. An external thread joint and an internal thread joint are rolled at two ends of a drill rod body respectively, and the external thread joint, the internal thread joint and the drill rod body are integrated; a conical surface transitional zone is arranged between the outer wall at one end of the drill rod body and the outer wall of the external thread joint, as well as between the outer wall of the other end of the drill rod body and the outer wall of the internal thread joint; an external thread shoulder surface, external threads and an external thread end surface are processed at the end part of the external thread joint; and an internal thread end surface, internal threads and an internal thread shoulder surface are processed at the end part of the internal thread joint. The double-shoulder sulfur resistant drill rod has the benefits that the internal thread joint and the external thread joint of the drill rod and the drill rod body are all made of the same H2S stress corrosion resistant material through rolling and conventional sulfur resistant drill rod welding processing technique is not adopted, so as to improve the integral H2S stress corrosion resistant capability of the sulfur resistant drill rod, remarkably shorten processing period, and guarantee superior torsional strength of the sulfur resistant drill rod due to the double-shoulder structure.
