Entities: A System of Diabetic Foot Ulcers

The detailed delineation of entities in the next 12 chapters is preceded by a description of the methods, discussion of basic aspects and overviews. One overview separately covers the lesions on the hallux, since about 30% of all diabetic foot ulcers occur there. If entities occur on several toes, they are described in detail at the hallux. In the descriptions concerning other toes only the differences are mentioned to avoid unnecessary repetition.
