A Comparison of Student’s Attitude towards Information Education among Junior and Senior High Schools in Japan, Korea, China and Slovenia

The purpose of this study is to analyze various students' knowledge and attitude towards education concerning information technology between Japan, Korea, China and Slovenia. The survey has a sample size of 1,070 junior and high school students in each of the countries. The following was observed: 1) When asked about the relationship between them and ICT in the future, there was no difference between the answers of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Slovenian students. The only exception was Slovenian high school students. 2) The motivation for the achievement of Information - the Utilizing Abilities of Japanese students was higher than that of Korean, Chinese and Slovenian students. 3) All knowledge scores of words that are related to Information technology was lower with Japanese students compared to Korean, Chinese and Slovenian junior and senior high school students. Based on the above results, the issues of Japanese Information Education are discussed in this paper.
