Forces between kinks and antikinks with long-range tails

In a scalar field theory having a kink solution with a long-range tail, we find an attractive force between a well-separated kink and antikink. The attraction decays with the fourth power of the separation, and has one quarter the strength of the repulsion between a kink and mirror kink.
