Course Knowledge Graph for Computer Sciences

2020
In the traditional description methods of computer science curriculum, the teaching plans and syllabus are generally used to describe the professional knowledge of computer sciences and the overall structure of the knowledge points of the curriculum. However, relying on traditional methods is not enough to grasp the general structure of computer science curriculum and the general connection between professional classes. In view of the shortcomings of traditional methods, this paper proposes a method based on the course knowledge graph of computer sciences. The proposed method complete the quantification of the relationship between the knowledge points, the relationship between different courses, and between different schools. It also analyzes the results of course relationship clustering and school relationship clustering. A new method is provided to evaluate the similarity, which improves the speed of similarity computation. The construction and analysis method of the course knowledge graph of computing courses will lead to a prospective field for knowledge learning in computer science with data support. It could also extended to various disciplines other than computer sciences.
