Study on Artificial Pond Incubation and Wintering Technology of Rana chensinensis

[Objective] The research aimed to study artificial pond breeding and wintering technology of China forest frog.[Method] Based on the 12 artificial ponds digging in Mudanjiang nature reserve from 2005 to 2007,respectively,setting hatching test in different water temperature experiments calculated the incubation rate and metamorphosis rate;setting the wintering experiment in three winter pools calculated the survival rate.[Result] When the water temperature was 10-12 ℃ and 12-14 ℃,the incubation rate was higher than 97%,and it was significant higher than other temperatures.Embryo in the temperature range 8 to 20 ℃ could develop normally and the metamorphosis rate was about 91%.The stocking density of winer poor was about 40 individuds/m2,the survial rate of forest frog was 95%.[Conclusion] The optimum temperature for incubation was 10-14 ℃,and the water depth kept about 2 meter.The density was kept about 40 individuals/m2 and changing the water once a month during overwintering.The water temperature was about 5 ℃.
