LA MISE EN REPOS : UNE TECHNIQUE DE GESTION DES PARCOURS STEPPIQUES

2013
This work aims, floristic and ecological characterization of steppe vegetation and their dynamics in connection with usage patterns (extended protection, free range). The study was conducted in three stations of deferred grazing and also a control station taken in a free range near Boussaâda: Stations put under protection (Marnouna, Roumena Gueblia and Badret ElMokdsi) and free range (Sidi Ameur). For this purpose , 95 phytoecological surveys has been carried out. The study of some parameters of the vegetation (SF, SC,VC, PV, EP) and the number of species per plot) at different sites of observations yielded to the following results: compared to free range , vegetation is more productive and more diverse in « no- go areas »; we find an average cover of the vegetation 58.66% between deferred grazing and pastoral planting against 46% in the free range. In terms of floristic diversity found in average 39.33 species in the different stations, against 30 species outside exclosure. In terms of floristic diversity, we found in average 39.33 species in the different stations, against 30 species outside the “no go areas”. Biological raw spectra in four stations show therophytisation. The real spectra express dominance of geophytes in soil surface occupation, except the station of Bedret Mokdsi El. According to the pastoral value, two classes of livestock are identified: The three stations (DG) are in Class 1 (range in very good condition), while the free range of Sidi Ameur (603.99 kg dry matter/ha) is in the classe 4 (range in poor condition).
