기념관 전시공간에서 나타나는 내러티브 분석에 관한 연구

A narrative is means by which a person may give a meaning to his experiences and build a foundation where those experiences are shared in order to achieve mutual understanding with others. Thus, we can understand that the narrative has a strong connectivity with individual lives even if its content and meaning might have undergone a slight alteration since the time of its initial conception. Since the beginning of human history the narrative has existed and it seems necessary to investigate how it has been communicated and what kind of role it has fulfilled in human dialogue and interaction. An exhibition space in a memorial exists in order to represent, memorize, give contemporary meaning to and help comprehend to a particular past event. Also, it is a conductor of memories: of real events that were result of human interactions which manifested through definite and traceable time and space and the purpose of its existence is to commemorate or examine the event in question from contemporary perspective.Such spaces have, unlike other types of museums, have a linear narrative structure with a definite conclusion and this enables the audience to come to their individual and therefore contrasting analysis which in turn can be likened to the narratives that create a different individuality via social and cultural connection and those occurring literature. This research is aimed at analysis of narrative structures expressed and materialized through storytelling and would like to strive for an exhibition space (of a memorial) where the audience is able to concentrate on the message that is contained in the space relevant to our age and understand its value and meaning.
