Analyse en serre de plantes de pomme de terre transformées par Agrobacterium rhizogenes

1994
Summary A morphological study of potato plants transformed by Agrobacterium rhizogenes (mannopine and cucumopine strains) was conducted in the greenhouse. A Dot Blot analysis confirmed the integration of the Ri plasmid T- DNA in these plants. The transformed plants obtained by regeneration from transformed root lines or directly formed on internode sections showed a great variation in their phenotypes. Several variation levels have been observed: variation was less extended between plants issued from a same root line than between plants regenerated from independant root lines. Moreover, plants directly produced on internode sections were morphologically less disturbed. This new transformation process seems, therefore, to limit somaclonal variation.
