Detection method of Th1 cells

2005
We have found that adhesion molecules CAR known to be localized in cell-cell adhesion sites to function as an adhesion molecule for activated lymphocytes. Furthermore, to identify ligands CARL for new CAR expressed on lymphocytes, said ligand revealed that selectively expressed in Th1 cells. Also, to be able to inhibit the adhesion to the CAR molecule of activated lymphocytes was found with anti-CAR antibody. The present invention relates to a method of detecting the Th1 cells by CAR or anti CARL antibodies, and is intended to provide a method of screening for inhibitors inhibit adhesion of Th1 cells as an indicator the binding of CAR and CARL. Furthermore, the present invention is a method of screening for inhibitors of binding between CAR and CARL, antibody that inhibits the binding between CAR and CARL, and to therapeutic compositions comprising the antibody. These are in the diagnosis of diseases of inflammation such as infiltration of Th1 cells are involved, and is expected to help to continue providing drugs to alleviate the condition.
