Evolution of the crystalline phase with annealing temperature in Fe89Zr7B4 alloy

Abstract The crystallization behavior and the microstructure of as-quenched and annealed Fe 89 Zr 7 B 4 alloy have been investigated. It has been shown that the morphology of primary crystallization of the bcc phase changes from the dendritic growth observed after low-temperature annealing, to the nucleation of regular nanocrystals at higher annealing temperatures.
