Analysis of biochemical components in follicular fluid from 22 cases during periovulatory period

2002
Objective To explore the relationship between the formation of follicular fluid and humoral circulation, and to study the essential factors for the growth of ovum. Methods Follicular fluid and serum were individually collected from 22 women undergoing ART treatment.Twenty five indices inclading the concentration of 8 enzymes,7 lipids and proteins and glucose were assayed by automatic analyzer (HITACH 7150 ). Results There was no statistical significance between the concentrations of 13 kinds of biochemical substances in follicular fluid and those in serum (P0.05). The contents of glucose and total cholesterol in follicular fluid were significantly lower than those in serum (P0.001).The LDL-C, APO-B, LP(a) levels in follicular fluid were almost zero. The AST、LDH、CK-MB levels in follicular fluid elevated significantly (P0.001). Conclusions The biochemical components in follicular fluid originate largely from serum. The results suggest that the formation of follicular fluid correlates well with humoral circulation.
