The invention relates to a device for labeling of plastic bottles in the blow mold, and a method for using the device according to the invention. Characterized in that a transfer star and a transfer device of the apparatus for moving the preforms and the labels in a transfer region to one another so that in each case one label is adhered only at a circumferential portion of a preform, the label can be introduced reliably and rapidly in the blow mold and excessive stretching of the label are avoided in the bubbles.
