Study on determination of homologs of tocopherol in natural tocopherol with HPLC

A HPLC method for determination of each homolog of tocopherol in natural tocopherol has been established.A ZorBax-C 18(250 mm ×4.6 mm,5 μm) column was used as stationary phase;The mobile phase was composed of methanol without water;The flow rate was 1.0 mL / min;The column temperature was 293.15 K;The inject volume was 20 μL;The tocopherol isomers were determined by DAD at Em 295 nm;The experiment results show that the peak area of each tocopherol keeps good linear relationship and high correlation coefficient with concentration;The composition of alpha-tocopherol,beta and gama-tocopherol,delta-tocopherol in natural tocopherol respectively is 4.15%,32.60% and 15.15%.This method is accurate and well replicability.It can be used in determination of each homolog of tocopherol in natural tocopherol.
