PROCESS HYGIENE | Disinfectant Testing

The principal evaluation methods used in certification of safe and effective agents, and the types of agents currently applied in the heavily regulated area of disinfection practices in process hygiene are reviewed here. Use patterns fall into three categories -- environmental decontamination, hand sanitation, and foodstuff rinses; contemporary technologies and emerging needs in each area are identified and discussed.
