On the origin of the porous silicon luminescence

1995
Abstract The luminescence and Raman spectra of porous silicon have been studied at room temperature as a function of hydrostatic pressure up to 15 GPa. The luminescence is still observed in the high pressure metallic phase, showing that it is not related to the diamond phase of silicon and therefore not originating from quantum size effects.
