Dimethyl sulfoxide-based ink for the fabrication of Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin film

2015
Abstract Herein we outline an alternative strategy to fabricate kesterite Cu 2 ZnSn(S,Se) 4 (CZTSSe) thin films from an easily scalable ink based on dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solution. The precursor ink is in situ formed by adding ethanolamine into DMSO-based molecular scale solution containing CuCl 2 , ZnCl 2 , SnCl 2 , and thioacetamide. CZTSSe thin films were synthesized via spin-coating from the precursor ink, and characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectra, scanning electron microscope and UV–vis spectra.
