The 3D polymeric complex {[Cd 2 (DPT) 3 (DMF) 6 ]·(2H 3 O) + } n (DPT = dipentum = 3, 3-azo-bis (6-hydroxybenzoic carboxylic), DMF = N, N'- dimenthyl formamide) with binuclear cadmium as building block was obtained from hydrothermal reaction of CdCl 2 ·4H 2 O with medicine dipentum sodium.
