High resolution measurement of dielectronic recombination of fluorine-like Se[sup 25+]

For the fluorine-like ion Se[sup 25+], which is important in x-ray laser research, energies and absolute cross sections for dielectronic recombination have been measured in an energy range from 0 up to 2000 eV at the Heidelberg heavy ion storage ring TSR, using the electron cooler as a free electron target. Detailed comparisons with atomic structure calculations have been made.
