Methodology of CT-Imaging in ME Diseases

High Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) is nowadays unanimously considered as the first method of choice in imaging of middle ear pathologies. The modern technical improvements make CT more performing; the obtained data volumes with a high spatial resolution can be reconstructed along any required plane. The following chapter presents a brief review of the main technical parameters and the main reconstruction planes to obtain a high diagnostic value of CT evaluation for the most frequent middle ear pathologies. Also one possible method of a systematic reading of the Temporal Bone CT is presented.
