Nosocomial pathogens and drug-resistance in an infectious disease hospital.

2010
OBJECTIVE To study the nosocomial pathogens and drug-sensitivity in an infectious disease hospital.METHODS Retrospective analysis was conducted on sputum cultivation from patients who were hospitalized from Nov 2005 to Nov 2008 in the 302 hospital of PLA.RESULTS A total of 1832 pathogenic strains were isolated, most of which were Gram-negeative,of which Escherichia coliaccounted for 31.8%.Their multiple durg-resistance to anti-microbial agents was serious;Klebsiella pneumoniaeaccounted for 12.3%.Among Gram-positive bacilli, most of which were Staphylococcus epidermidisand S.aureus, accounted for 4.9% and 4.0%,espectively;among fungi, most of which were Candida albicans, accounted for 9.9%.CONCLUSIONS E.coliis the main nosocomial pathogen in an infectious disease hospital, and shows multiple durg-resistance to antimicrobial agents in drug sensitive test.
