Radial Displacement of HPT Rotor caused by the Centrifugal and Heat

2011
The heat and centrifugal change is an important factor of causing the variety of HPT tip clearance of gas turbine engine. It is also one of the key factors of rotor design and strength calculation. In order to investigate the variety of tip clearance and calculate the strength of disk and blade, the rotor radial elongations model was established. The effects of the centrifugal and heat on rotor radial elongations at different states were qualitatively analysed and quantitatively calculated. The results showed that the radial elongations of disk are more remarkable than that of blade. The thermal effect is the main reason resulting in blade radial displacement and disk radial elongation. The effects of centrifugal on the radial elongation of disk are more remarkable than the effects on blade radial displacement.
