2P-57 : Synthesis of polyaniline/graphene Hydrogel with high scalability and enhanced electrochemical properties

2019
In this work, we report an efficient methodology to produce polyaniline/ graphene hydrogel (PANI/G HDG) with high scalability and enhanced electrochemical properties for use a symmetric supercapacitor. The PANI HDG was successfully formed through the intermolecular interactions between PANI, boronic acid groups, and hydroxyl groups of PVA. In addition, water-dispersible graphene (WDG) sheets were added into the PANI HDG to improve electrochemical properties, thermal stability, and mechanical stability of the HDG. The supercapacitor based on PANI/G HDG provided a larger capacitance and a higher energy density, superior to other supercapacitors based on homostructures. A variety of characterizations of the HDG, such as morphological, structural, thermal, and electrochemical analyses, were carried out.
