Analysis on the Choice Behavior Survey of the P&R System in Metropolis——a Case Study in Beijing,China

The stated preference survey on PR is a basic step for building the effective PR system and promoting the transfer from individual trip modes to PR system. This paper aimed to build the PR system via a parking behavior survey conducted at parking lots in Beijing central districts. On the basis of summarizing the status of the current commuting trip, this paper analyzed the PR preference and correlated characters of travelers under different transfer conditions. The result shows that the select intents of the trip mode is evidently related to the trip cost and the time, and the PR preference is different among groups with different occupation and income and so on. The analyzed result is valuable for the decision-making of the PR system.
