Alignment surveys — The South Australian experience

1986
Abstract A “classical” approach to Australian alignment survey procedure is examined and its legal and technical aspects discussed with particular reference to Queensland and South Australia prior to 1921. The South Australian Henley and Grange Alignment Survey of 1921 and its legal, administrative and technical consequences are discussed in detail particularly with respect to the provisions of the 1946 amendments to the Local Government Act. Current South Australian alignment survey practice in confused boundary areas is discussed.
