The invention provides a method and apparatus for predicting the time window of first arrival pickup. According to one embodiment, the method comprises the following steps that: the location information of at least two shot points in a predetermined area and first corresponding relationships between the offset of each shot point in the at least two shot points and first arrival time are obtained; all offsets of the at least two shot points are sorted according to a first preset rule, so that an offset sequence can be obtained; the time sequence of each shot point in the at least two shot points are correspondingly obtained according to the first corresponding relationships of each shot point in the at least two shot points and the offset sequence; first interpolation operation is carried out according to the location information of a shot point to be measured, the location information of the at least two shot points and the time sequences, so that the time sequence of the shot point to be measured can be obtained; and computation is performed on the time sequence of the shot point to be measured according to a second preset rule, so that the time window of the shot point to be measured can be obtained. With the method and apparatus of the invention adopted, the accuracy of the first arrival pickup can be improved.
