The utility model provides a transverse cutting interferometer, comprising two identical semi-pentaprisms adhered with each other. The adhering face of one of the two semi-pentaprisms adhered with each other is coated with a light splitting film, the light-transmitting faces of the two semi-pentaprisms are coated with reflection reducing films, and the light-reflecting faces of the two semi-pentaprisms are coated with inner reflecting films. The utility model solves the technical problems that the interferometer of the background technique has low energy availability and low signal-to-noise ratio of the interference stripes, having high energy availability and raising the modulating degree of the interference stripes and the light intensity of the zero-level interference stripes.
