Ötzi, el «hombre del hielo» en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional (Madrid)

espanolEn este articulo se da cuenta de la proyeccion de la pelicula alemana Otzi, el hombre del hielo (Der Mann aus dem Eis) (2017), dirigida por Felix Randau y protagonizada por el actor aleman Jurgen Vogen, que tuvo lugar el 18 de enero de 2019 en el Salon de actos del MAN1 y se discute su fidelidad con el hallazgo arqueologico real, su importancia y algunas de sus mas recientes investigaciones. Asimismo, se reflexiona sobre el papel del cine en la difusion del pasado prehistorico, sus topicos y debilidades y su potencial para extender los crecientes conocimientos que se van teniendo sobre estas etapas hacia un publico mucho mas amplio que el reducido foro de los especialistas. EnglishThis paper deals with the premiere of the German movie Otzi, the Iceman (2017) directed by Felix Randau and with the actor Jurgen Vogen in the role of Otzi, which took place in January 18th at the conference hall of the Museo Arqueologico Nacional in Madrid. The archaeological fidelity of the film is discussed by comparison with the actual archaeological finds and also the importance of the discovery and the last analyses being published about it. A reflection is made on the role of the cinema in the diffusion of the prehistoric past, the weakness and commonplaces and the potentialof movies to spread the scientific discoveries of the most recent research to a wider audience not restricted to the narrow circle of specialists.
