ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF LEGISLATIVE PROCESSOF PARLIAMENT IN THE LIGHT OF PANDEMIC OF COVID-19 AND INDIA:REVISITING EXISTING PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE FROM THE PRISM OF EVOLVING INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

COVID 19 pandemic has shaken all aspects of life. Social distancing is only remedy to check its spread and to fight this pandemic. Social distancing can be effective only by lockdowns. Lockdown has declined the economy of the countries. Latest challenge to all countries is to balance their economy in Post COVID 19 era. The Parliament process of India is very exhaustive. Huge resources are exhausted in these sessions. The utilisation of resources in parliament process can be reduced by taking help of ICT. ICT has played a vital role during COVID 19 era. It has successfully assisted in different facets of life. Meetings are conducted through its use. Education is imparted through it. Similarly ICT can be used to simplify the Indian parliamentary process. Use of ICT not only simplifies the process, it will also reduce the cost of the process. This Cost reduction will be very effective for balancing the Indian economy. This study examines the present cost of Indian Parliament process and the effectiveness of e parliament system.
