Wide-Band Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wireless Applications

In this letter, we proposed a dual-band rectangular DRA using Alumina (Al2O3, "r = 9:8) as radiating element and fed by a simple network technique, named the strip-fed method (coax + conducting strip). As a result, this work presents the characteristics of a new dual-band antenna operating at 2.879 (2.81{3.09GHz)/3.506{3.941 (3.09{4.69GHz) GHz providing higher gain values (more than 8dBi), and a fractional bandwidth of 50.19%.
